Ranbir Kapoor is riding high on the success of “Sanju” (a biopic on Sanjay Dutt), the film has earned 145.1 crore in four days and is currently breaking records and rewriting box office history. From critics to audience, everybody is bowled over by Ranbir’s unbelievable performance as Sanjay Dutt, and rightfully so.
In a recent interview with a magazine, the star revealed that there’s one shocking similarity between the reel and real life Sanju, and it’s not a good one!
“I have tried drugs when I was in college and got into bad influence. But I realised that nothing will happen in life if I continue with drugs. When we did that section, I did a lot of research,”
“Every man makes mistakes in his life. I am addicted to nicotine now and it’s worse than drugs. And I have addiction for sweets as well,”
“This film is a good learning for children and youth that five-minutes of ecstasy can destroy your entire life. It’s the worst thing possible. Sanjay was much stronger, a fighter who came out of it and became a star,”
Earlier in an interview, Ranbir said that alcohol and drugs, he has done it all! He used to smoke pot, and also used it a tool to ace his role in Rockstar.
“I used it again during Rockstar. It was hard to get in the moment on stage with 300 bored junior artistes posing as a real audience. Pot made those moments feel real.
Through “Sanju”, we all got to know that there’s a lot that hides behind all the glitz and glamour and things are not always as beautiful as they might seem.
